Panos became a qualified accountant with PwC in Athens and soon became a senior leader int he financial services assurance team where he advised and delivered the biggest merger in the banking industry.
He moved into banking sector initially as Group Finance Manager of Piraeus Bank and then he joined National Bank of Greece, a Regional leader in SE Europe with banking subsidiaries in SE Europe, US and Turkey. NBG was the largest listed entity in ATHEX with ADRs trading in NYSE. During his 10 year tenor implemented a robust IFRS and US GAAP financial reporting process compliant with SOX requirements, managed the Regulatory capital team and executed a series of M&A and Debt raising transactions while progressing to Deputy Group CFO role.
In 2014 he moved into Insurance & Health industry when joined MetLife, a global leader in Life Insurer and for 8 years he held various Regional CFO roles across Europe and Middle East & Africa and also led the EMEA Planning& Analysis unit.
